Leavenworth Parken - Leavenworth Parks
Front Street Park
Front Street Park is in the heart of downtown’s Front Street. The park is adorned with a wonderful gazebo and our very own Maibaum (maypole.) It’s a fun and comfortable place to sit and “people watch” the crowds as they shop, dine and generally stroll through town. The park provides an excellent spot to watch festivals and parades as they unfold through town. You stay nice and cool under our shade trees and can relax on the green lawn. In the winter it’s a whole different ballgame. Get your sled out with your kids and make the runs down the hill. All literally steps from all the activities in Leavenworth.
Need a respite from the hustle and bustle, but don’t want to go too far? Just two blocks from downtown Leavenworth, Waterfront Park provides just that relief. It’s situated along the banks of the Wenatchee River and it’s a birdwatcher’s paradise. The park offers a great opportunity for a wonderful stroll along the river while taking in the incredible scenery. In the summer you may want to cool down in the river. The water is delightfully refreshing. Take your bike for a leisurely ride along water’s edge. Simply wonderful!
When winter eventually comes again, the park is transformed into a Snowshoe and Cross Country Ski heaven. The park is a block and a half from the hotel. For more park information, visit: http://www.leavenworth.org/modules/pages/?pageid=303&path=11|303
